Resumo

A tradução aqui disponibilizada de Diógenes Laércio, livro III: Platão é antecedida de algumas observações sumárias. Aborda-se vários aspetos, como fontes, estilo e transmissão do livro. A obra não é meramente laudatória. De facto, Laércio estende a sua exposição a diversos aspectos da vida de Platão, como carácter; Escola; amores; plágio; posses; testamento, sem omitir algumas informações menos abonatórias a Platão enquanto figura antitética, amado por uns, odiado e acusado por outros.
