Um Exemplo de Análise Numérica em Geomorfologia

Abstract

The Santo Aleixo River, a small water course eroding the oceanic facade of the Serra do Mar, has its upper and middle sections represented by diagrams. Morphometric characteristics of the valley sections are analysed. Correlations are established through nonparametric techniques. The dominance of the fractured local geologic structure upon the drainage pattern is clearly recognized. The importance of the identification of small intermountain basins as controlling subsystems for the local deposition and erosion is emphasized.
