Abstract

The article presents an account of an experience with the objective of elaborating a bilingual pedagogical didactic material for the dissemination of information in the area of informatics. The methodology used was the realization of works in groups with the students of the technical high school in computer science. To facilitate the preparation of the material, we used the institution’s own computer laboratory for image editing, typing and other activities. The results were positive, according to the report made with the students and the responses to the presentation to a group of indigenous teachers from various ethnic groups of Ufam’s languages course, stimulating the continuity of this innovative project in a context of strengthening of the language as a means of historical, cultural and identity expression of the indigenous peoples of the municipality of São Gabriel da Cachoeira, in the Amazon.
