The monuments known by the term Hogback century (X-XII) brought a fusion of Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian elements, whose production peaked during the process of incursions arising from the period known as the Viking Age, of which the main places where are located in regions of present-day Great Britain. But through an investigative process one aroused my interest after a discussion with Prof. Terry Adrian Gunnel (University of Iceland) and to analyze some images made available by him. The following question arose. What would be the idea behind a figure present in the Hogback known as “The Saint’s Tomb” located in St. Mary's Church (Gosforth)? Therefore, the present work seeks to understand the possible interpretations made by different researchers for this figure and open up the possibility of results of what may actually be happening in the present scene at this moment.
