Abstract

Traveling and wandering without arrival in search of the Origin: a note on Ernesto Grassi in South America The text analyzes Ernesto Grassi’s South American journey as a search for the original, understood as a philosophical confrontation with a nature perceived as an “absence of world” in relation to European historical categories. Through references to Vico, Aristotle, and Heidegger, the journey becomes a form of deep observation that challenges historicism and Eurocentrism. Nature and landscape emerge as spaces of creativity, myth, and intercultural relations. The analysis thus proposes a philosophy of landscape that problematizes the identity of the traveler and opens a dialogue between different worlds, grounded in the critique of universal categories and in the experience of limits. Keywords: Originarity, Philosophy of Landscape, Interculturality, Eurocentrism, Travel/Journey
