Tyranny and political thinking in Herodotus' Histories

This article explores the idea that kings and tyrants have an important role in the Histories due to their importance as a key element in the narrative strategy in which Herodotus expresses his political thoughts throughout this particular work, these thoughts are connected to his concerns regarding the practice of power.
