Abstract

Our scope in this paper is describing the changes presented by the character Orestes in his passage from the epic to the tragedy and throughout the tragedies. How is Orestes introduced in Odyssey and in tragedies? What characterizes and distinguishes each of these presentations? To answer these questions we shall read and compare the Homeric verses and the tragedies by Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides.
