Geoscientists in their work activities are subject to a series of risks that can cause harm to their health and safety (H&S). The geology course at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) has an extensive workload of field activities. Therefore, the students and professors of the department are subjected to a series of risks, dangers and damages, which, until then, had not been identified. Taking into consideration this issue, the present work had as objective to implement health and safety procedures in the Geology Department of UFRJ, aiming to promote the direct action of those involved in the identification, management, prevention, mitigation of risks and elimination of risks, besides the development of the health and safety culture at the department.Downloads
