Abstract

In this work were analyzed the synoptic situations associated to a Mesoscale Convective Complex (CCM), observed on 11/27/2002 in the northeast of Argentina. Infrared imagery from GOES-8 and simulations from BRAMS regional model were used. The model simulation, with three hours issues, allowed detailing the behavior of the meteorological variables in large scale that affect the MCC life cycle, being able to reproduce the suitable conditions to its beginning, development and dissipation. The results showed that the MCC studied presented similar characteristics to those observed by several authors
