Interioridade e inspeção do espírito na filosofia agostiniana

Resumo

Este artigo indica três domínios na filosofia agostiniana em que pode ser desenvolvido o estudo da combinação entre a procura da interioridade e a inspeção da alma racional. A teologia trinitária, onde se encontra a interioridade por excelência, a condição decaída da alma, externa a si própria, e a reordenação da razão mediante as disciplinas liberais serão os elementos para apontar as cautelas necessárias na aproximação entre a interioridade agostiniana e a subjetividade moderna.

Abstract

This article suggests three domains in the Augustinian philosophy in which it is possible to develop a study of the combination between the search for interiority and the inspection of the rational soul. The trinitarian theology, where one finds interiority itself, the decayed condition of the soul, external to itself, and the reordering of reason by means of the liberal disciplines will be the elements to point out the necessary cautions in bringing near Augustinian interiority and modern subjectivity.
