Conceito de mundo e conceito na Dissertação de 1770

Resumo

Segundo uma longa tradição, os intérpretes de Kant, embora reconheçam o importante papel da Dissertação de 1770 na gênese da filosofia crítica, não deixam de apontar que, ao lado da "nova teoria do tempo e do espaço", se encontraria ainda intocada a doutrina metafísica de um mundo inteligível cognoscível pelo uso real do entendimento, doutrina dogmática que seria superada pelo posterior desenvolvimento da filosofia crítica. Divergindo dessa linha de interpretação, queremos mostrar que a distinção entre sensível e inteligível e a ontologia proposta pela Dissertação se enraízam no próprio problema cosmológico. De acordo com nossa interpretação, não apenas o uso real do entendimento está longe de significar a doutrina pré-crítica do conhecimento do mundo inteligível por meros conceitos puros, mas também a própria radicalização do problema cosmológico, primeiro exposto na Dissertação, constitui uma das raízes profundas da filosofia crítica.

Abstract

According to a widely held view, the interpreters of Kant, although acknowledging the important role of the Inaugural Dissertation in the development of his philosophy, maintain that this work still allows for, along with the "new doctrine of space and time", the cognition of the intelligible world by means of the real use of the understanding. This assumption in particular has been regarded by the interpreters as a residual feature of the dogmatic metaphysics to be further supplanted by the development of the Critical philosophy. By contrast, I argue that both the distinction between sensible- and intelligible world, and the ontology presented in the Dissertation are rooted into the cosmological problem itself. As a result, it follows not only that the doctrine of the real use of the understanding is far from being the pre Critical assumption of the cognition of the intelligible world by mere concepts, but also that the cosmological problem presented in the Dissertation constitutes one of the deep roots of the Critical philosophy.
