La gestión de las emociones
el caso del 'temor' en el héroe cómico aristofánico

La comedia de Aristófanes no presenta un modelo monolítico de heroísmo cómico; aun así, es posible detectar un número considerable de rasgos recurrentes en sus protagonistas – entre otros, un coraje admirable, responsable del agenciamiento del cambio social que la comedia normalmente procura en consonancia con los deseos de la audiencia. Este arrojo ejemplar se asienta en una total falta de temor (aphobίa) que el discurso se encarga de ensalzar en imágenes y metáforas de naturaleza bélica, en las que el protagonista queda asimilado a un bravo guerrero. En esa dirección, este trabajo se propone indagar acerca del rol del temor en los personajes de la comedia aristofánica cuyo protagonismo ha sido cuestionado o controvertido, como el caso de Agorácrito en Caballeros o Estrepsíades en Nubes. Asimismo, habida cuenta de que el temor es una emoción de inspiración política, y la comedia antigua se propone educar a su público políticamente, nos preguntaremos sobre el consejo que acerca del temor la comedia se propone brindar a su audiencia.
