DAS TORCIDAS JOVENS ÀS EMBAIXADAS DE TORCEDORES: UMA ANÁLISE DAS NOVAS DINÂMICAS ASSOCIATIVAS DE TORCER NO FUTEBOL BRASILEIRO

Resumo

Resumo O presente artigo analisa as novas marcas da configuração do público de futebol no Brasil contemporâneo. De início, empreende-se uma reflexão geral sobre o fenômeno de pertença aos grupos de torcedores organizados, integrados tradicionalmente por jovens do sexo masculino. Em seguida, apresenta-se um apanhado histórico, antropológico e sociológico que visa compreender a maneira pela qual se consolidou a presença de contingentes juvenis nesses agrupamentos. Se as torcidas organizadas costumam ser associadas pelos meios de comunicação de massa a condutas antissociais de vandalismo e a práticas de violência, o intuito do artigo é, sem negar sua existência, desconstruir parte dessa imagem unidimensional e estereotipada. Propõe-se, para tanto, na parte final deste artigo, uma incursão etnográfica a uma “embaixada” de torcedores do Internacional de Porto Alegre, com a observação da fruição do jogo e do seu modo de socialização em um bar da zona sul do Rio de Janeiro. Abstract From Young Fans Groups to Fan´s Embassys: An Analysis of New Dinamics of Memberships to Groups that Support Teams in Brazilian Football This article analyses the new configuration of football audiences today in Brazil. First of all, there is a general reflection on the phenomenon of belonging to a group of supporters, usually composed by young men. Next, we present an anthropological and sociological brief history that aims to understand how young men became the majority in such groups. If organized fans are usually associated to antisocial behavior and vandalism by the media, the objective of this article is, without closing its eyes to the reality, deconstructing part of this one-dimensional and stereotyped image. Thus, it proposes, in its final part, an ethnographic immersion to an “embassy” of fans of Internacional de Porto Alegre, observing how the game is enjoyed by them and the way they socialize in a pub located in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro.
