A MÍDIA IMPRESSA E O TRICAMPEONATO MUNDIAL DE FUTEBOL: RELAÇÕES ENTRE O UFANISMO E O OBSCURANTISMO

Resumo Este artigo tem como objetivos: (a) analisar a Copa de 1970 por meio do material impresso nos Jornais Folha de São Paulo e O Estado de São Paulo; (b) conhecer e interpretar o processo político e a influência da Copa de 1970; e (c) compreender as políticas públicas realizadas pelo Poder Constituído. Frente ao estudo realizado pode-se afirmar que houve um desenvolvimento material e imaterial do futebol no Brasil. O legado material consiste nas questões estruturais (construção de estádios) e, o legado imaterial consiste nas questões ideológicas para o desenvolvimento da modalidade. Abstract The printed media and the three-time World Cup champion: relations between nationalism and censorship This article aims to: (a) analyze the 1970 World Cup through the printed data in the newspapers Folha de São Paulo and O Estado de São Paulo, (b) understand and interpret the political process and the influence of the 1970 World Cup, and (c) understand the public policies held by the authoritarian government. Based on this study it can be stated that there was a material and immaterial development of soccer in Brazil. The material legacy consists of structures (construction of stadiums) and the immaterial legacy consists of the ideological issues in the development of this modality.
