ESPORTE E TERRITÓRIO: A TERRITORIALIZAÇÃO DO HANDEBOL NO ESTADO DE SANTA CATARINA

Este texto aborda a relação entre território e esporte. Mais precisamente, busca compreender a dinâmica que envolve o contexto histórico do handebol e sua materialização no espaço. Deste modo, está relacionado ao contexto mundial, nacional e, sobretudo do Estado de Santa Catarina, em diferentes tempos. Para tanto, este estudo de caráter bibliográfico foi dividido em dois momentos. O primeiro momento relata brevemente o contexto histórico do handebol no mundo e, por conseguinte no Brasil. E no segundo momento, apresentamos o contexto do handebol em Santa Catarina mediado através da Federação Catarinense de Handebol e pela Fundação Catarinense de Esporte. A partir deste caminhar observa-se como o handebol se espacializa em Santa Catarina e as principais equipes que disputam competições, sobretudo na categoria adulto.

Abstract

Sport and Territory: The Territorialization of Handball in the State of Santa Catarina

This paper addresses the relationship between territory and sport. More specifically, it seeks to understand the dynamics that surrounding the historical context of handball and its materialization in space. Thus, it is related to the global context, national and particularly with the state of Santa Catarina, at different times. Therefore, this study with bibliographical character was divided into two parts. The first time briefly describes the historical context of handball in the world and therefore in Brazil. And in the second moment, we present the context of handball in Santa Catarina mediated by the Handball Federation of Santa Catarina and the Sport Foundation of Santa Catarina. From this walk is observed how the handball spatializes itself in Santa Catarina and their master teams vying competitions, especially in the adult category.
