FUTEBOL ÀS AVESSAS: A PROFISSIONALIZAÇÃO DO FUTEBOL COLOMBIANO E A PARTICIPAÇÃO DA SELEÇÃO NACIONAL NO CAMPEONATO SUL-AMERICANO DE 1949

Resumo

Este artigo pretende analisar a participação da seleção colombiana de futebol no Campeonato Sul-Americano de 1949, ocorrido no Brasil, tendo em vista que o resultado do selecionado nessa competição não foi o esperado devido uma série de fatores internos ocorridos e que dizem respeito ao processo de profissionalização do futebol no país. Com a criação de um campeonato profissional de futebol na Colômbia em 1948, organizado pela División Mayor (Dimayor), os principais jogadores do país deixaram o âmbito amador, que era organizado pela Asociación Colombiana de Fútbol (Adefútbol). Como a Adefútbol era também a entidade responsável pela formação do selecionado nacional colombiano, teve que negociar a convocação dos atletas profissionais com a Dimayor. Por uma série de fatores que são analisados neste trabalho, a negociação não foi a frente, tendo a Adefútbol enviado em sua maioria jogadores de uma única equipe, o Junior Barranquilla, para representar a Colômbia na competição. Neste artigo, abordaremos como essa competição refletiu as disputas existentes entre a Dimayor e a Adefútbol pelo poder do futebol no país, assim como as principais características do processo de profissionalização desse esporte na Colômbia, destacando como esse cenário influenciou diretamente na mudança do campo esportivo colombiano a partir do futebol.

Abstract: This article pretends to analyse the participation of the Colombian selection of football in the Championship Suramericano of 1949, occurred in Brazil, With regard to that the result of the selected in this competition was not the expected owed a series of internal factors occurred and that say respect to the process of profesionalización of the football in the country. With the creation of a professional championship of football in Colombia in 1948, organised by the División Mayor (Dimayor), the main players of the country left the field amador, that was organised by the Asociación Colombiana de Fútbol (Adefútbol). Like the Adefútbol was also the responsible entity by the training of the selected national Colombian, had to negotiate the announcement of the professional athletes with the Dimayor. By a series of factors that are analysed in this work, the negotiation was not the front, having the Adefútbol sent in his majority players of an only team, Junior Barranquilla, to represent Colombia in the competition.
