REORDENAMENTO DAS LIGAS DE FUTEBOL. CRISE OU NOVA ORDEM?

Resumo

Resumo: A partir do estudo da criação e crise das ligas de clubes de futebol, o objetivo do artigo é analisar as possíveis mudanças no gerenciamento do futebol nacional e europeu. Tomamos como exemplo o C-13 (Clube dos 13), no Brasil e o G-14, na Europa. A hipótese levantada é que essas ligas aceleraram o processo de mercantilização do esporte, se constituíram em grupo de pressão sobre as entidades dirigentes tradicionais (FIFA; UEFA; CBF), obrigando-as a mudanças, como também pressionaram o setor público a tomar medidas de controle social e político sobre a modalidade. Esses fenômenos vêm configurando um reordenamento na estrutura governativa do futebol global.

RESTRUCTURING OF THE FOOTBALL LEAGUES. CRISIS OR NEW ORDER?

Abstract: From the study of the creation of and crisis in football clubs leagues, the objective of this article is to analyze the possible changes in the management of national and European football. The examples taken are the C-13 (Club of the 13), in Brazil and the G-14, in Europe. The suggested hypothesis is that these leagues have not only sped up the process of mercantilization of the sport, by establishing themselves as lobby groups over traditional leading entities (FIFA; UEFA; CBF), compelling them to promote changes, but have as well pressured the public sector to take social and political control measures over the modality. These phenomena have been promoting a restructuring in the governmental structure of global football.
