VACA LONGA: REPENSANDO A HISTORIOGRAFIA BRASILEIRA DO ESPORTE A PARTIR DO SURFE NA BAHIA

Resumo

Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho é analizar o filme "Vaca Longa, 40 anos de surfe na Bahia". A versão para o desenvolvimento histórico do surfe na Bahia representada por esse filme é encarda aqui como uma oportunidade para se pensar, sob o ponto de vista teórico, as relações entre diferentes regiões do Brasil no desenvolvimento histórico do esporte. Mais especificamente, as influências do surfe no Rio de Janeiro sobre o desenvolvimento histórico deste esporte em outras regiões do Brasil são reflexões abordadas neste ensaio.

VACA LONGA: RE-THINKING THE BRAZILIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY OF SPORT FROM THE SURFING IN BAHIA

Abstract: The purpose of this work is talking about the movie "Vaca Longa, 40 anos de surfe na Bahia". The version for the historical development of the surfing in Bahia showed by this movie is took here as opportunity to think, from theoretical point of view, about the relations among different regions of the Brazil for the historical development of the sport. Specifically, the influences from the surfing in the Rio de Janeiro over the historical development of this sport in other regions of the Brazil are kinds of the reflections of this work.
