NOVOS PROFESSORES PARA O NOVO BRASIL: O CURSO PROVISÓRIO DE EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA DE FLORIANÓPOLIS

Resumo: Década de 1930, regime ditatorial do Estado Novo. À aurora do Novo Brasil era imperativo forjar o Novo Homem e nenhum elemento concorreria tão fortemente a esse princípio quanto a Educação, sendo a Educação Física entendida como a parte física desse grande projeto. É nesse cenário que Santa Catarina desponta, juntamente com os estados do Espírito Santo e São Paulo, no campo da formação de professores especializados. Como primeiro passo para a organização da Educação Física no estado, houve a criação, em 1938, da Inspetoria de Educação Física do estado e a conseqüente instalação, anexa a esta, do Curso Provisório de Educação Física. Realizações como estas fizeram com que o Estado catarinense fosse interpretado como um exemplo a ser seguido pelos demais.

NEW PROFESSORS FOR A NEW BRAZIL: THE PROVISORY COURSE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF FLORIANÓPOLIS

Abstract: Decade of 1930, dictatorial regime of the New State. At the dawn of the New Brazil it was imperative to forge the New Man and no element would so strong concur for this principle as Education, being the Physical Education understood as the physical part of this great project. It is in this scene that Santa Catarina blunts, together with the states of Espírito Santo and São Paulo, in the field of the formation of specialized professors. As a first step for the organization of the Physical Education in the state, there was the creation, in 1938, of the Inspectorship of Physical Education of the state and the consequent installation, attached to this, of the Provisory Course of Physical Education. Accomplishments as these had made Santa Catarina state to be interpreted as an example to be followed by the others.
