Abstract

The article offers a reflection on interventions made to the garden of the Faculty of Fine Arts in the City of Porto, based on a combination of the concepts of utopia and dystopia, understanding that the area of the actions is full of contradictions undermining the daily experience of its visitors. On observing the effects of such interventions, intended as aesthetic-political micro-actions, the question is: How do art and its processes affect actual contexts, transforming the objective and subjective in a sensible order and interfering in the relations between subjects and between subject and social space? If the everyday questions about problems we face as human beings and part of the living system on the planet Earth, do not seem to be present in certain places of our daily life, how can we make them visible?
