Abstract

The purpose of the research Vida nua, performatividade e dramaturgia [Bare life, performativity and dramaturgy] was to consider bare life as a poetic argument for building a performance arena based on processes that use animal entities, zoé [life], to spark actions and bodily states differentiated from a language that excluded our instinct of belonging to the human species, by building a social life, culture, and bíos. In the study based on a cartography guided by the Derridean concept of deconstruction, the argument of bare life extended from the literal to the metaphorical for a dialogue with works and concepts addressing subalternity constructions.
