Abstract

A taxonomic study of Chrysobalanaceae species from the Restinga de Jurubatiba National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, revealed that there are two genera and two taxa: Couepia schottii Fritsch., and Hirtella triandra subsp. punctulata (Miq.)Prance. The taxa are described and an identification key is given, together with geographic distribution, illustrations, and comments on each taxon.
