Abstract

A taxonomic study of Bignoniaceae species found at the Restinga de Jurubatiba National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, revealed that there are nine genera and eleven species: Adenocalymma marginatum (Cham.) DC., Anemopaegma chamberlaynii (Sims) Bureau & K. Schum., Arrabidaea conjugata (Vell.) Mart., Arrabidaea lasiantha Bureau & K. Schum., Callichlamys latifolia (Rich.) K. Schum., Jacaranda bracteata Bureau & K. Schum., Lundia cordata (Vell.) A. DC., Lundia virginalis DC., Phryganocydia corymbosa (Vent.) Bureau ex K. Schum., Pyrostegia venusta (Ker Gawl.) Miers and Tabebuia cassinoides (Lam.) DC. The species are described, an identification key is given, together with illustrations and comments on each species.
