Abstract

The taxonomic study of species of Malpighiaceae occurring at Restinga of Jurubatiba National Park, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, is presented. Eight genera and twelve species are registered: Banisteriopsis megaptera B.Gates, Byrsonima sericea DC., Heteropterys chrysophylla Kunth, Heteropterys coleoptera A.Juss., Heteropteris nitida (Lam.)Kunth, Hiraea cuneata Griseb., Niedenzuella acutifolia (Cav.)W.R.Anderson, Peixotoa hispidula A.Juss., Stigmaphyllon auriculatum (Cav.)A.Juss., Stigmaphyllon ciliatum (Lam.)A.Juss., Stigmaphyllon paralias A.Juss., and Tetrapterys phlomoides (Spreng.)Nied. Descriptions, comments, identification key of species, and illustrations are presented.
