The advertisement call of the Scinax luizotavioi (Caramaschi & Kisteumacher, 1989) (Anura, Hylidae)

Abstract

Herein we describe the advertisement call of Scinax luizotavioi. We analyzed calls from specimes of the type locality, RPPN Serra do Caraça, municipality of the Santa Bárbara, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil and from municipality of the Ouro Preto that is located about 200 km from type locality. The spectral and temporal parameters of the S. luizotavioi call were compared with those of the S. catharinae species group available from literature. Data on natural history and geographical distribution of the S. luizotavioi are also provided.
