Description of the larva of Orthemis cultriformis Calvert, 1899 (Insecta, Odonata, Libellulidae)

Abstract

The ultimate instar larva of Orthemis cultriformis Calvert, 1899 is described and figured based on reared specimens from Magé, RJ, Brazil. This larva is compared in a table with those other six known of the genus, using features of the external morphology. A preliminary key to the known larvae of the genus is appended.
