Abstract

This paper analizes the institutionalization process of a potter’s tradition and its construction as a social category and a professional identity, both made possible with the creation of the Women Potters’ Association in the early 1990s, with the support of the Social Affairs Secretary during the Workers’ Party (PT) city administration.
