Abstract

A taxonomic study of Theaceae species found at the Restinga de Jurubatiba National Park, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, revealed that there are two genera and three species: Bonnetia anceps Mart. & Zucc., B. stricta (Nees)Nees & Mart., and Ternstroemia brasiliensis Cambess. The species are described, and an identification key is given, together with geographic distribution illustrations and of each species.
