Résumé

O regime de Lúcio Cornélio Sula (cos. 88, 80 a.C.) envolve a construção de um novo mos maiorum, o resultado final de toda a dinâmica belicosa após o Bellum Sociale (91-87 a.C.). Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre o caráter do novum mos silano, contrastando-o com o mos maiorum da primeira década do primeiro século aC.

CARLOS HEREDIA CHIMENO, Kyoto Prefectural University

I received my PhD in Ancient History by the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2017, with a dissertation entitled "La transgresión del mos maiorum a raíz del Bellum Sociale (91-81 a.C.)". In fact, my main topics deal with the Social War and its actual impact on the Roman Republican system, and the analysis of the "decline-narratives" in the first century BC.

I am an Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), as well as a Collaborating Professor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). I have also been selected as a Postdoctoral Fellow thanks to the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), at Kyoto Prefectural University.
