Abstract

Traditionally, the West tends to conceive of ART-MUSIC, AESTHETICS, LANGUAGE AND PEDAGOGY in terms of a binary-base model which, as it were, antagonizes its terms. However, there is one ternary model, founded on language (though not officially recognized) that, as it introduces a third“dialecticalizing” element, seems to respond more appropriately to the formulation of and the relations between these concepts. This paper attempts to present these positions and their values, and, by means of them, situates pedagogical action with a view to musical production.
