Disheveling: bringing a body-line-wild to life

Abstrakt

A prática artesanal de fiar, especialmente o processo de esguedelhar, mobiliza esta pesquisa em um desejo de pensar cada relação que se estabelece entre corpos e materiais, cada modo de existir heterogêneo que se instaura, cada mundo que se inaugura. Apostamos em uma força pragmatista do pensamento, que percebe e dá a ver e sentir um pensamento em ato que ocorre nas práticas. Queremos experimentar o fiar em sua potência ontoepistemológica de criar novos modos de ser e pensar, atribuindo primazia aos processos de formação em vez de aos produtos finais, preferindo os fluxos dos materiais às propriedades e aos estados da matéria. Desse movimento de dar atenção às práticas emergem corpos mergulhados em relações ativas com os meios, abertos a devires emaranhados fiandeiras-jardineiras-cozinheiras-escritoras e propensos ao cultivo de um estado selvagem das linhas, dos corpos e da própria escrita-pesquisa.

Abstract

The artisanal practice of spinning, especially the process of disheveling, moves this research with the desire to think about the relationship that is established between bodies and materials, the heterogeneous mode of existence that is built, and the worlds that become pregnant. We  rely on a pragmatist mode of thought, which perceives and makes visible and felt the thought in action that takes place in practices. We want to experience relying on its onto-epistemological potency to create new ways of being and thinking, giving primacy processes of creation rather than final products, privileging the flow of materials rather than the properties and states of matter. From this movement of paying attention to practices, bodies immersed in active relationships with the means emerge, open to entangled becomings of spinners-gardeners-cooks-writers and prone to the cultivation of a wild potency of the lines-thread, bodies and research-writing itself.
