Statism and Monetarism in the Crisis of Modernity

Abstract

The article aims to highlight that the State and the Market, although institutions with separate and confl icting principles, have an intimate connection and a structural relationship of dependency. This relationship is established in the early days of modernity and is developing in a contradictory and opposite association between the political and economic functions, until culminating in a mutual crisis, which manifests itself as the crisis of modernity.
