Abstract

The aim of this abstract is to question the use of new digital technologies, taken as discursive practices of subjects, especially with regard to Sexting, which consists of sending messages (text or image) with sexual content. As it takes place in a virtual environment and it is a new subject, this practice is an important source of research regarding the study of social relations. From the analysis of a video on the Internet, left for the Canadian teen Amanda Todd, we sought to demonstrate that the use of new technologies emerges as a facilitator practice of the subject's exposure that comes to shorten the boundaries between public and private spaces, passing cultural questions and sexuality, as well as the effects of this use that often have serious consequences. For that, we wrote our conclusions based on the theoretical contributions of discursive perspective, using the methodological support in Foucault's studies (2014), regarding the questioning of the rules, the contexts in which discourses are produced and interpreted.
