Abstract

Based on a tensive perspective of the French Semiotics, this paper aims at examining the enunciative strategies of “Um Lugar ao Sol”, documentary by Gabriel Mascaro. Internationally prized for his work, the author can be considered a shrewd enunciator since he overlaps and sews different content planes: he adds, to the basic narrative program -- consisted of euphoric content --, two other ones with dysphoric content, in order to build a counter-program. Thus, although, separately, those contents tend to have slowed tempo and a slow elã, when overlapped, they are toned and accelerated. In addition to this, “Um Lugar ao Sol” brings the perception of a subject accustomed to miscegenation, since the happening and the concessive sintax make part of its core.
