The environmental interpretation techniques are commonly found in works in the Geodiversity field due to its capacity to translate the scientific knowledge in a language more easily understood by society. In face of that, the current work has the aim of discussing the relation between these fields by means of the building of an interpretative panel about the geosite named Pedra Furada, located at the Jericoacoara National Park, state of Ceará, Brazil. The methodology used started by a bibliography review followed by a field work with the objective to define an inventory of the geoheritage in the interest area. Finally, the interpretative panel was graphically designed using photo and graphical edition softwares. We note in the present work the relevance of environmental interpretation in the context of geodiversity and geoheritage appreciation and publicity as well as the interpretative panels relevance in the Earth Sciences knowledge diffusion.
