The present work approaches the construction of space in film from the
perspective of manipulative functions and strategies developed for editing. The focus of this analysis is the connection between the successive takes of moving images that compose the plot. Following this approach, a brief analysis of a sequence of montage extracted from Peter Yates's Bullit (1968) is presented.
