This article treats the dynamics of inequality produced by territorial dispute at different scales in border nodes of the southern Andean economic space. Among the various commercial nodes of the southern Andes, the street markets of the city of Tacna (Peru) present a case study of the dynamics of social inequality produced by the territorial dispute between global and local scales. A quantitative methodological strategy is used to explore three dimensions of inequality: dynamics of value creation, dynamics of unionization and dynamics of criminalization.
