The Master of Masters: My Professional Experience with Emeritus Professor Jorge Xavier da Silva

Abstract

I knew Emeritus Professor Jorge Xavier da Silva of the Institute of Geosciences of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro over a period of decades and I witnessed how he passed on a vast knowledge of Geography and geo-technologies to his students and disciples. This article relates the small but significant academic experience I had with this renowned researcher which contributed to the professional improvement of all of us who had the privilege of working with him.
