Literatura e filosofia em trânsito

os Orlandos de Woolf e Preciado

Abstract

The following work discusses the relations between literary and philosophical discourse, by means of an analysis of the connections between Virginia Woolf's Orlando: A Biography and Paul B. Preciado’s Orlando: my political biography. We develop our argument in favor of literature and philosophy in their inventive potentiality, not restrained by an abstract and/or linguistic reflection, but acting instead through detours and contaminations which influence the distributed sensible. Therefore, we depart from a discussion involving the various ways of conceptualizing literary and philosophical discourse towards a reflection on how literary objects approach a philosophical practice, thus smearing borders in-between discourses.
