Abstract

The following article investigates brazilian radio sports broadcasting today, in the era of contemporary narration (Götz, 2020). This research highlighted part of the results obtained in the tesis entitled Football narration in the expanded radio context (Götz, 2022), indicating observations about the posture of the paradigmatic narrators Haroldo de Souza and José Carlos Araújo in front of the cameras, in an expanded radio context. To address the object, the multiple case study methodology (Yin, 2015) was applied. Technical, expressive and stylistic issues of the narrators were also observed here.

Doutor e Mestre em Comunicação Social pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Jornalista pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos). Radialista pela Fundação Educacional e Cultural Padre Landell de Moura (Feplam). É professor substituto no curso de Jornalismo da UFPel.
