Abstract

Conte Comigo: Flamengo e Democracia is a book released in 2022 by Editora Ludopédio that brings together testimonials about the club's most anti-authoritarian expressions. The publication is motivated by the board's rapprochement with Jair Bolsonaro's mandate as President of the Republic (2019-2022). This article aims to understand how the work constituted an experience against authoritarianism by following the reactions to its launch. The research articulates concepts from the field of History studies to assess the political implications of the publication.
