Authors

Abstract

In Blumenau/SC, the first records of skateboarding took place in the 1970s and some subsequent historical facts marked the trajectory of skateboarders in this city, one of the most relevant being Law No. 5211, which regulated the use of skateboards, bicycles and similar in the city, which was in force from 1999 to 2007. The fact is that this Law prohibited the practice of skateboarding on public roads, directly impacting the right to the city of city dwellers who practice this activity. Therefore, we sought to understand, through interviews, how skateboarding took place in the city during the years of this Law and in the years following its repeal, emphasizing the construction and inauguration of the skate park in Parque Ramiro Ruediger in 2009.
