Resumo

A história do Esporte Clube Cruzeiro (RS) é marcada por sucessivas mudanças de endereço. Sua trajetória pela cidade confunde-se com a popularização do futebol e com o crescimento da metrópole. Neste artigo, tomamos a relação entre estádios e espaços para refletirmos sobre o vínculo entre estas estruturas materiais, o crescimento da urbe e a atribuição de sentidos aos seus espaços.

“And the Cruzeiro is still standing”: the nomadic trajectory of Esporte Clube Cruzeiro in Porto Alegre (1913 1971)

Abstract: The history of Esporte Clube Cruzeiro (RS) is marked by successive address changes. His career in the city is intertwined with the popularization of football and the growth of the metropolis. In this article, we take the relationship between stages and spaces to reflect on the bond between these material structures, the growth of the city and the attribution of meanings to their spaces.

Resumen: La historia del Esporte Clube Cruzeiro (RS) está marcada por sucesivos cambios de dirección. Su carrera en la ciudad está entrelazada con la popularización del fútbol y el crecimiento de la metrópoli. En este artículo, tomamos la relación entre escenarios y espacios para reflexi onar sobre el vínculo entre estas estructuras materiales, el crecimiento de la ciudad y la atribución de significados a sus espacios.
