Intervenção breve sobre a responsividade de mães aos recém-nascidos hospitalizados

Este estudo adaptou uma intervenção breve sobre a responsividade materna e avaliou seus efeitos em mães de recém-nascidos hospitalizados para tratamento de sífilis congênita. Participaram 20 díades mãe-bebê recrutadas em um hospital público, que foram distribuídas entre os grupos intervenção e comparação. Na avaliação pré-intervenção foram coletadas informações sociodemográficas e clínicas e a saúde mental materna foi avaliada com o SRQ-20. As díades do grupo intervenção participaram do Programa Doses de Afeto, implementado em uma sala reservada no próprio hospital em seis encontros. Na pós-intervenção, a responsividade materna foi avaliada em uma observação da interação da díade. Os resultados indicaram que as mães do grupo intervenção interpretaram os comportamentos de seus bebês com mais frequência do que as mães do grupo comparação, que, por sua vez, acariciaram e embalaram mais os seus bebês. Discute-se o potencial do programa para aplicações no contexto hospitalar e a necessidade de aprimorá-lo.
