Reveal or hide: the montage discord of work Insônia: o eu horizontal x o eu vertical

Abstract

We analyzed the video that takes part the work Insônia: o eu horizontal x o eu vertical, created by Lula Wanderley and Wanderlei Ribamar. From the perceptual regimes studium e punctum, we put in discussion the artists roles in their creative processes and the possible effects on viewers reception, paying attention to Lula Wanderley’s discord as an editor-artist. We also propose conect film montage and historical narrative, whose agents observe, capture or even produce “images”, whether they are blunt or stealthy.
