Abstract

Since 2012, I have been developing works that reflect on the school environment and the state of public education in Brazil. I use the materiality of alphabet pasta and bread to reflect on the essential role of school meals in public schools and to create visual and edible poems that connect literacy and nutrition, learning and digestion. This line of research constitutes the series Types of Eating II (2023) and the video performance a-e-i-o-u (2024).
