É Doutor em literatura pelo programa de pós-graduação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Atualmente realiza pesquisa de pós-doutoramento sobre poesia contemporânea brasileira na Universidade Federal Fluminense e leciona literatura brasileira na Universaidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
