Afrodescendência ausente na Heterogeneidade Cultural, de Antonio Cornejo Polar e a Afro-Peruanidade e Cimarronaje em Nicomedes Santa Cruz
Abstract
O projeto do crítico literário peruano Antonio Cornejo Polar teve importância ao tentar estimular a articulação de um projeto humanista latino-americano. Ao priorizar a inclusão de valores culturais nativos peruanos, o crítico literário transcendeu as diretrizes de valores canônicos universalistas investidos no continente e reafirmou a importância de um sistema de pensamento genuíno, autônomo e pautado por particularidades que deveriam compor a representação do que caracterizaria, essencialmente, a América Latina como episteme. No entanto, Polar falha ao não mencionar a relevância e reflexões das contribuições africanas no processo de formação
social, cultural e literária peruana e da América Latina. Desse modo, o objetivo do presente estudo articula-se na relação do legado do pensamento crítico de Antonio Cornejo Polar tendo como base as contribuições afrodescendentes peruanas a partir da obra de Nicomedes Santa Cruz (2000).
