Intimidade no cárcere: Perfil dos presos cadastrados para realizar visitas íntimas no Rio de Janeiro

Resumo

Este artigo analisa os efeitos de algumas características do preso (sexo, cor, estado conjugal, tipo e estado de origem) sobre a probabilidade de cadastro na Secretaria de Estado de Administração Penitenciária (Seap) do Rio de Janeiro para realizar visita íntima entre janeiro de 2005 e abril de 2006. A partir dos bancos de dados do sistema de informações penais do estado, o sexo, o estado de origem e o fato de o interno ser ou não condenado são considerados fatores explicativos significativos sobre o fato de o preso ser cadastrado ou não na Seap para ter acesso a essa regalia, diferentemente de cor e estado conjugal, que não se mostram fatores explicativos para tal.

The article Intimacy in Prison: Profile of Prisoners Reg­istered to Make Intimate Visits in Rio de Janeiro anal­yses the effects of some characteristics of prisoners (sex, color, marital status, type of prisoner and state of origin) on the probability of their being registered with the State Penitentiary Administration Office (Seap) of Rio de Janeiro to make intimate visits between January 2005 and April 2006. Using the state penal information system database, the sex, state of origin and whether the inmate had been sentenced or not are considered significant factors for ex­plaining whether the prisoner had been registered with Seap to have access to this benefit, unlike color and marital status, which were not shown to be determinant factors.
