Abstract

The morphodynamic response to oceanographic variables of beaches located between Saquarema and Macaé, Rio de Janeiro State, were monitored trough monthly topographic profiles during low water spring tide. The results showed a high topographic stability ofthe beaches located north of cabo Búzios (Macaé and Barra de São João) and high topographic variability ofthe profiles at Massambaba beach, located westward of cabo Frio.
